InterContinental Real Santo Domingo, an IHG Hotel

I loved the fact that upon arrival the reception handled us very fast. We had a baby with us and the room with King-size bed was not ready so we were offered a room with 2 beds. After reviewing and coming to conclusion that its too small for us, we were still able to get the King-size bedroom. Reception was very professional. Antigen test was immediately organized for our departure, the bellboys were very helpful guiding the way when we asked for the correct direction outside hotel, also upon departure luggage was picked up superfast and car was already waiting for us to bring us to the airport. Furthermore it was extremely helpful that we could use the business centre. The breakfast was outstanding and also we checked both of the restaurants, very good quality and service.

My rather large and bright room on the 17th floor was wll equipped and had a huge window giving a great view on the city. All furniture and the carpet were in very good condition and showed almost no sign of wear. Among the very friendly ladies at the reception, who could not do a better job, mainly Monika and Carolina were extraordinarily helpful and Carolina's outstanding support helped to make my stay a really pleasant one. I always try to avoid hotels whose rooms get fresh air exclusively from an airconditioner and have no windows one could open. Up to now I never experienced an aircon that could be set at a reasonable temperature. They were always way too cold, which inevitably made me sick. The Intercontinental in Phnom Penh e.g. was so cold, I saw myslf forced to leave after one night although I had paid already for five days. I will ever be thankful to Carolina who made maintainance manipulate the airconsystem of my room in such a way, that I could set the temperature at a confortable level. There are two restaurants in the hotel of which I only used "The Market". The food there is good, but perhaps breakfast could be a bit better and more diversified.

Always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. Clean, friendly and beautiful hotel. Rooms as spotless and pool area are the place to relax. Food are amazing especially the Nau Lounge.

The view from my room was great and the staff was very friendly and efficient. The hotel is located in a very good area with food and shopping options within walking distance. It is easy to get an Uber or taxi to move around but I recommend Uber is way cheaper.

The hotel feels new; the amenities and service is EXCELLENT; the executive lounge has a phenomenal view with access to appetizers and drinks. I LOVED IT
